Website speed depends on page weight, application work, caching, network conditions and external services—not just hosting disk space.

What to do

  1. Compare several pages and record whether the delay is before the page starts loading or while images/scripts download.
  2. Check from another network and note whether it affects logged-out visitors, administrators or both.
  3. Record recent plugin, theme, content and integration changes. Look for large images and slow third-party requests.
  4. Ask JIJ for a performance review with example URLs, timings and the actions that feel slow.

Good to know

Changing several caching settings at once can obscure the cause or affect checkout. Agree on the test and backup plan before a production optimization task.
