A visible form submission message does not prove an email reached your inbox. Check the form, sending method and recipient together.
What to do
- Confirm the destination address and check spam, quarantine and mailbox storage.
- Review the form’s own submission records or error logs if available, without exposing private submissions publicly.
- Verify that the sending address belongs to a domain you control and uses an authenticated delivery method appropriate for your site.
- Check DNS authentication and test with a clearly labeled message to an address you own. Record the submission time and any error.
Good to know
Do not use a visitor’s address as an unauthenticated From identity. Use Reply-To for replies where the form platform supports it.
